From Barbados to the roof top of Africa

4 years ago today, myself and 11 other people living with Type 1 diabetes (from 7 countries) from around the world, summited Mount Kilimanjaro, aiming to empower and inspire people living with diabetes worldwide.Â

My journey to the roof top of Africa taught me many lessons, ignited my inner fighter and challenged me in ways I could have never foreseen.Â

An international team of 12 Type1 Diabetic People from 7 countries (FRANCE, BELGIUM, AUSTRALIA, CANADA, USA, BARBADOS and BRAZIL) reached the highest mountain of Africa : the KILIMANJARO mount (5895m / 19 341 ft). The project has been leaded by WORLD DIABETES TOUR association (www.planete-insuline.com) in partnership with SANOFI to share a positive message towards Type 1 Diabetes & inspire others Type 1. Despite our Diabetes, we can achieve our Dreams with an undercontrol diabetes. STRIVE FOR CONTROL, DARE TO DREAM !
